1979

Foundation of Kampuchea Refugee Relief Program(KRRP) 

1993

Kampuchea Refugee Relief Program renamed as Nippon International Cooperation for Community Development (NICCO).   Aggregate Corporation status certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA)

1996

Attained Special Consultative Status at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Since 2000-

Started working in cooperation with JICA to implement community development projects in Jordan and we have also been implementing such projects in Malawi and Palestine.

2000

Started working in cooperation with MOFA through Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO projects to implementa project in Afghanistan and we had been implementing such projects in Iran, Jordan and Malawi in the years since.

Since 2002-

Started working in cooperation with MOFA through Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO projects to implementa project in Afghanistan and we have been implementing such projects in Iran, Jordan and Malawi in the years since.

2008

Became an Implementing Partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Jordan in implementing a psychosocial care and counseling project for Iraqi refugees.

Awarded a prize from MOFA for our contribution to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. 

2010

Public Interest Incorporated Association status granted by the 

2011

Opened Tokyo Office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Awarded the 18th Yomiuri International Cooperation Prize.

2012

Received a letter of appreciation from Ministry of the Environment for our pest contorol project to support victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

2013

Received a letter of appreciation from Ministry of Health, project to support victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

2014

Marked 35th anniversary.
