The Japan International Cooperation Organization (NICCO) (hereinafter referred to as "the Organization") strongly recognizes the social importance of protecting personal information. To collect and handle information about the many supporters who endorse and assist our activities, we will handle personal information appropriately based on this Privacy Policy.
- Purpose of Use of Personal Information
This corporation will use personal information for the following purposes.
・Receiving donations, contributions, and membership fees
・Processing payments for charity goods and handling shipments
・Event Information
・Email newsletter delivery
・Issuing donation receipts and sending activity reports
・Financial reports and other information
・Survey for the purpose of improving operations
・Responding to inquiries from supporters
・Compliance with laws and regulations, or actions based on directives or guidance from administrative authorities
・Other activities related to the purpose of use disclosed or notified at the time of obtaining personal information
- Regarding the Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
This corporation will not provide or disclose personal information it holds to third parties, except in the following cases:
(1) When the customer has given consent
(2) When required by laws and regulations
(3) When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
(4) When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned.
(5) When cooperation is necessary for a national agency, local government, or their authorized representative to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent may impede the performance of such duties.
However, the following cases do not fall under the above-mentioned third parties.
(1) When this corporation entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
(2) When providing personal information in connection with the succession of business operations due to the merger of this corporation or other reasons
(3) When personal information is jointly used with specific parties
- Regarding the Outsourcing of Personal Information
This corporation may entrust all or part of its operations concerning the handling of personal information to third parties. In such cases, this corporation will select entities deemed capable of handling personal information appropriately. The entrustment contract will properly stipulate matters concerning the handling of personal information, including security management measures, confidentiality, conditions for subcontracting, and the return of personal information upon termination of the entrustment contract. Necessary and appropriate supervision will be implemented.
- Requests for Disclosure of Personal Information
Regarding personal information held by our organization, when a request for disclosure, correction, or suspension of use is received, we will disclose, correct, or suspend use within a reasonable scope after verifying the identity of the individual, unless the request falls under any of the following exceptions. If the request is made by a representative, documentation verifying the representative's authority is also required. Please note that a fee may be charged to cover actual expenses incurred in disclosing the information.
(1) When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of a third party
(2) When there is a risk of causing significant disruption to the operations of this corporation
(3) When there is a risk of violating laws and regulations
